Christie Sheffer, RM, CPM
“As a Certified Professional Midwife and Registered Midwife, I am so blessed to walk with families as they embark on life’s biggest journeys. Being able to offer support and an experienced, watchful eye to birthing families is an amazing experience for which I am thankful every day!”
I have been helping babies come into the world for over 12 years now, starting as a professional Doula in 1998 after the birth of my first child (which took place in a hospital). I attended over 100 births, both hospital and home over the next few years.
After two more babies, both home births, I jumped headlong into the PEP, apprenticeship based, program through NARM (North American Registry of Midwives).
In 2012 I completed my training after attending well over 40 births, many of those as primary care giver.
Then in March 2013 received my CPM and RM.
Since then, I have been in private practice serving the greater Colorado Springs area, travelling as far west as Buena Vista/Salida and as far south as Pueblo.
