Beth Knox Gomez – massage therapist
Massage for pregnancy and the postpartum period can be very beneficial. It helps with many of the discomforts of pregnancy, hip and low back pain, sciatica, joint pain, fatigue, insomnia, headaches and muscle cramp and spasm. Additionally, it can help with postpartum healing by easing pain, discomfort and exhaustion. It is excellent self care – before, during, and after pregnancy. It increases circulation, enhances the pliability of the skin, soothes the nervous system by releasing endorphins, stimulates the lymph system to help boost immunity, reduces edema and swelling, and can relieve stress and anxiety.
Please contact me with any questions you may have and to see how I can help facilitate your self care during pregnancy!

Dr. John Davis, DC
Dr. John Davis has been a passionate Chiropractic practitioner in Colorado Springs for over 13 years. He was introduced to chiropractic care after sustaining an injury during his college football career. That experience was such an impactful one in his life, that he decided it was his own calling. After completing his education at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO among the top in his class, he and his wife relocated to Colorado Springs, where he partnered with an existing practice.
Having received extensive education from a highly regarded Obstetric and Pediatric Physician while in DC school, he became very passionate about this realm of Chiropractic. After further education, and his own wife’s first pregnancy and childbirth in 2007, he quickly became a huge resource within our birthing community. He has worked closely with many of the Certified Professional Midwives, Doulas, and Obstetricians locally. He has gained training in several prenatal techniques and has successfully “turned” hundreds of babies and prevented unnecessary Cesarean sections for mothers. He has been called in to assist at many births, home and hospital, utilizing special techniques to restart “stalled” labor, to facilitate baby to engage in optimal birth positioning, and to help to decrease the discomforts of childbirth; and he greatly enjoys the care he provides to the newborn baby he helped have a more gentle and comfortable entrance into this world.
After many years in practice with other physicians, and focusing on many different aspects of healthcare, he and his wife have opened their own Family Practice clinic. This has always been their dream, first and foremost, to provide WHOLE care for the WHOLE family. From in utero to 108 years old, he’s seen and done most all of it, and
Dr Davis and his wife, Jamie, have 4 young children who are home schooled on their farm here in the Springs. They have a very active lifestyle, enjoying traveling, skiing, camping, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and tending to their menagerie of farm animals together.
Justine Calderwood, MSPT
We help women have healthy, active pregnancies, smoother deliveries and a complete recovery postpartum to get back to the active lifestyle they enjoy. We also specialize in helping women resolve neck, back, hip, and pelvic pain and headaches. We get you, mama. We understand the struggle you’re going through and we’re here to listen, to offer you a solution, and teach you everything you’ll need to know along the way. It takes a village. Whether you’re suffering from pain, or you’re concerned about some female concerns, our unique approach to healthcare will have you back to doing the things you enjoy in no time.
Often women are too embarrassed or feel that such issues are too personal to talk about, but pelvic floor issues are very common, rarely talked about, and often not treated. Sometimes women’s health concerns stemming from the pelvis and hips affect other areas of the body, resulting in headaches, migraines, neck, jaw, or low back pain. We know you want to plan for the best birth experience and bounce back after having baby, so you can run, hike, care for your child(ren) and enjoy life with confidence.
Here at The Healing Spot, we use a gentle, whole-body, holistic approach to healing called Myofascial Release, coupled with therapeutic grade essential oils, energy work, craniosacral therapy, and traditional stretching and strengthening exercises to help you reach your goals. We’re here to help you feel confident in your body once again, return to exercise, relieve pain, and fully enjoy your active lifestyle.
As a Preferred Provider, we offer all clients of Blue Columbine Birth a special savings on First Visits and Packages, ranging from $350 to $805 savings for Plans of Care Packages so you can reach your goals and enjoy life. Simply mention that you are a Blue Columbine Birth client and we’ll extend our special savings to you! The Healing Spot

Sesch Wren – Birth and postpartum doula
I began my doula training just months after, through MotherWith doula care, and have served around 200 families to date. I have additional training in spinning babies techniques, evidence based birth, bereavement support, herbal support for women, lactation, comfort measures for labor, and I am CPR and NRP certified.
My most deeply held belief about birth, is that no matter how it happens, if it’s just how you pictured or if plans changed, there are always ways to increase joy on the day your baby arrives. This is a huge focus for me as a doula, to shine a light on the places where you and your family are strongest, and to highlight those precious firsts.
Personally, I have three of my own babies, and each of their births were so different! Since moving to Colorado Springs in 2015, I have loved getting to know the area. We are fortunate to have such a strong sense of community here, and it’s been an honor to be welcomed into that.

Winter Lave – Birth & Postpartum Doula
After having my child, I decided I wanted to help other moms and families try to achieve the birth they desire. It takes a village to become a mother and raise a child. As a veteran and current military spouse, I understand sometimes your village can’t be there. I hope to bring some of that village feeling to other families. Some of my doula services include basic breastfeeding assistance, guidance for partners and other labor support, birth and postpartum planning, unbiased and non-judgmental support and evidence-based resources.
Any families that have Blue Columbine Birth as their provider will get 15% off my services!
